FloripaSat-1 present in Brasília with the Brazilian President

On February 11 2020 part of the FloripaSat-1 team was in Brasília at the Planalto Palace in a ceremony with the Brazilian President Jair Messias Bolsonaro.

Among other great authorities present were Marcos Pontes, Minister of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC), Carlos Moura, president of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), and Darcton Damião, director of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE).

The group had the opportunity to talk and discuss the future of the Brazilian Aerospace sector. After receiving homage, the team presented the public figures with a commemorative T-shirt for the success of the FloripaSat-1 mission.

Counting from today (12/02/2020) the satellite has been functional in space for more than 53 days since its launch on December 20 2019.

All from the Space Technology Research Laboratory at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (SpaceLab UFSC) are extremely grateful for the invitation from the Office of the Presidency of the Republic.
